This database contains the birth records index from the Texas Department of Health. The database relies on many different counties reporting data to a central state agency. Consequently, the data may not be complete from all counties. Currently our birth records for Texas are between 1926-1995 only. Prior to 1950, the mother's maiden name and the father's name are also provided.
