You can use URAPI in legal work, investigative work, business activities or to protect your family. URAPI makes it easy and very affordable to access records that help you make better decisions, locate people, prevent fraud and conduct background checks.

How can I use URAPI information as a general consumer?
URAPI believes public records provide specific protections for individual consumers and their families. This information can be used to evaluate a new neighborhood prior to moving, locating possible sex offenders in your neighborhood, performing background checks on individuals who may interact with your children at school, your daycare or at church.

What makes URAPI unique?
URAPI services are used to quickly and affordably identify, verify and locate public information in Texas about individuals and businesses, all of which is obtained from reputable government and public sources.

What does URAPI mean?
URAPI (you-rap-ee) stands for “Uniform Rapid Assessment of Public Information.” URAPI services are currently available in Texas, with other states planned.

Who can use URAPI services?
URAPI assists attorneys, businesses, investigators, law enforcement, government agencies, day care centers and the general. Please read the license agreement carefully for restricted uses.

Can anyone access motor vehicle records on URAPI?
Motor vehicle records are generally not available to the general public. Each subscriber should review state and federal law to determine if he or she may have a legal purpose to access motor vehicle records which includes drivers license data and motor vehicle registrations.

Do you have social security numbers?
No, we do not have any Social Security Numbers stored on URAPI, and we will not put social security numbers on URAPI.

Can I use your database for marketing purposes?
No. Our database is not designed and should not be used for any marketing purposes. Additionally, URAPI does not sell its databases or Subscriber information to anyone for direct marketing purposes. Use of URAPI databases by subscribers for marketing purposes is strictly forbidden.

What if there is an error about my public record on URAPI?
If an inquiring subscriber reports an error about their individual public record, URAPI will determine if the error is within its database system, or URAPI will refer the inquirer to the original government source of the data. URAPI will not make corrections or changes to individual records as reported by government records. URAPI simply reports information as provided.
